Micro Tattoos as fine art
Whether you have/want one or not, you’ve no doubt been arrested by some really lovely (if not spectacular) artistic tattoos - what a panoply!:
Andy Warhol's Polaroid work
Not what most people think of as his usual, these photographs are super interesting:
Andy Warhol Polaroids 1958-1987 - Altogether, these shots comprise a singular view of people and things in the life of someone who changed the face of 20thC art. This book had quite an effect on me.
Fine Arts & Photography books I recommend
These are three of my most favored fine art photography books:
Tom Baril: Botanica - I love Tom Baril’s 60+ evocative solarized polaroids of botanical closeups!
Lartigue: Life in Color - Known particularly for his black & white photographs of Paris in the early 1900s, Jacques Henri Lartigue - an amateur who was “discovered” and promoted in Europe and America, also experimented with early color photography.
Tom Ford - Tom Ford’s iconic clothing and jewelry fashion designs for Gucci and Yves St. Laurent are captured by 200+ famous photographers, cluding Richard Avedon, Todd Eberle, Mario Testino, Terry Richardson, Steven Meisel, Helmut Newton, Herb Ritts, Craig McDean.
